International Studies PhD Programme (in English)

International Studies PhD Programme (in English)
The PhD Programme in International Studies was established at the beginning of 2020 to provide a special academic platform for PhD students who wish to specialise in International Studies and Political Science, especially in Cultural Studies, Development Studies, Globalisation Studies or Human Rights, within the Doctoral School of Sociology.

Although the programme is organisationally independent, it has a close functional relationship with the Institute of Political and International Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The aim of the programme is to provide scholars working in the above-mentioned fields with thorough preparation for writing their dissertation projects and for independent academic research and teaching at the postgraduate academic level. The programme will provide this in accordance with international standards of education in international studies, meeting formal and content requirements, and will produce highly qualified research experts and university teachers of the future, as well as training specialists (both theoretical and practical approaches) for various fields of international relations practice at a high level, recognised at the international level.

The programme mainly, but not exclusively, expects candidates to have a degree in social sciences, communication or cultural studies, who have demonstrated their commitment and ability for scientific research during their graduate education.
