The European PhD Network—Inequality and Diversity (INDY), a collaboration between Sapienza University of Rome, Masaryk University (Brno), and Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, ELTE), announces its annual student conference, to be held in Budapest on November 5, 2026.
INDY brings together PhD programs addressing questions of inequality and diversity across: sociology, economics, demography, and related fields.
The aim of the European PhD Network—Inequality and Diversity (INDY) is to provide advanced scientific training for scholars pursuing academic careers or working as experts in national or international organizations. The program focuses on the study of social inequalities, diversity, and inclusion, approaching these topics from a broad, comparative perspective.
PhD students are invited to submit abstracts presenting research on inequality, diversity, and social inclusion within and across societies.
