The aim of this area is to explore what structural factors and how they play a role in shaping gender relations, and what systemic problems lie behind a typically individualised situation.

Critical data science examines the processes by which data is created, collected, and processed, and investigates how these processes are influenced by power relations, and thus how data science affects everyday life and the social structures surrounding it.
